From Airports
We do not advise renting a car. Oxford is a nightmare to drive
in, has zero parking, and is incredibly walkable!
If you're flying in, you can get The Airline (a direct bus) to Oxford from both Gatwick and Heathrow airports. These are super easy, wifi-equipped, and less of a hassle than going into London to catch a train.
They make several stops within Oxford, so check which is the nearest to your accommodation.

From London
Again, we really recommend taking a bus, in this case the
X90, which leaves London from Victoria Station and Baker
Street (check the map, it's a five minute walk from Baker Street
Station itself).
Trains to Oxford are more expensive than the bus and can often be standing room only, but you can take them direct from both Paddington and Marylebone (pronounced Mar-le-bone if you need directions!).

In Oxford
Our bet is you'll be able to walk most places, but if you need
to catch a cab, you should know that Uber doesn't operate in
the city. You can use
001 Taxis, who are the most reliable, by calling
+44 (0)1865 24 00 00.
